﴿وَلَمَّا دَخَلُواْ عَلَىٰ يُوسُفَ ءَاوَىٰٓ إِلَيۡهِ أَخَاهُۖ قَالَ إِنِّيٓ أَنَا۠ أَخُوكَ فَلَا تَبۡتَئِسۡ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 69]
﴿ولما دخلوا على يوسف آوى إليه أخاه قال إني أنا أخوك فلا﴾ [يُوسُف: 69]
Dr Kamal Omar And when they went towards Yusuf, he made his (real) brother to stay with him. He said: “Surely I, I am your (real) brother, so grieve not for what they had been doing (with us both).” |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And when they entered before Joseph, he himself gave refuge to his brother. He said: Truly, I am thy brother, so be not despondent for what they had been doing |

George Sale And when they entered into the presence of Joseph, he received his brother Benjamin as his guest, and said, verily I am thy brother: Be not therefore afflicted for that which they have committed against us |
Maududi When they presented themselves before Joseph, he took his brother aside to himself and said: "Verily I am your own brother Joseph; so do not grieve over the manner they have treated you |
