﴿ٱلَّذِينَ يَسۡتَحِبُّونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا عَلَى ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبۡغُونَهَا عِوَجًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ فِي ضَلَٰلِۭ بَعِيدٖ ﴾
[إبراهِيم: 3]
﴿الذين يستحبون الحياة الدنيا على الآخرة ويصدون عن سبيل الله ويبغونها عوجا﴾ [إبراهِيم: 3]
| Dr Kamal Omar Those who prefer the life of this world over the Hereafter and hinder (people) from the way of Allah and seek crookedness therein — they are in ignorance, far and wide |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar those who embrace this present life instead of the world to come and bar from the way of God, and desire in it crookedness. Those are wandering far astray |
| Dr Munir Munshey Those who love the life of this world more than that of the life-to-come, place obstacles in the path of Allah. They look for twists to deviate from it. They have strayed far away from the path |
