﴿فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلۡمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ قَالَتۡ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي مِتُّ قَبۡلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسۡيٗا مَّنسِيّٗا ﴾
[مَريَم: 23]
﴿فأجاءها المخاض إلى جذع النخلة قالت ياليتني مت قبل هذا وكنت نسيا﴾ [مَريَم: 23]
| Dr Kamal Omar And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of date-palm. She said: “Would that I had died before this, and had been out of sight (and) completely forgotten |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And the birth pangs surprised her at the trunk of a date palm tree. She said: O would that I had died before this and I had been one who is forgotten, a forgotten thing |
