﴿وَإِذۡ وَٰعَدۡنَا مُوسَىٰٓ أَرۡبَعِينَ لَيۡلَةٗ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذۡتُمُ ٱلۡعِجۡلَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ وَأَنتُمۡ ظَٰلِمُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 51]
﴿وإذ واعدنا موسى أربعين ليلة ثم اتخذتم العجل من بعده وأنتم ظالمون﴾ [البَقَرَة: 51]
| Dr Kamal Omar And when We promised Musa (Moses) forty nights, afterwards you picked up the young of the cow in his absence and you are transgressors |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And mention when We appointed for Moses forty nights. Again, you took the calf to yourselves after him and you were ones who are unjust |
| Dr Munir Munshey And (remember) when We appointed for Musa forty nights (on Mount Sinai). During his absence, you took up the worship of a calf! You are the wrongdoers |
