They kept bewailing their misfortune until We reduced them to a useless - Surah Al-Anbiya’ ayat 15 in Tafsir

﴿فَمَا زَالَت تِّلۡكَ دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ حَصِيدًا خَٰمِدِينَ ﴾
[الأنبيَاء: 15]

They kept bewailing their misfortune until We reduced them to a useless form like reaped field of corn

﴿فما زالت تلك دعواهم حتى جعلناهم حصيدا خامدين﴾ [الأنبيَاء: 15]
