﴿قُلۡ مَن يَكۡلَؤُكُم بِٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ مِنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ﴾
[الأنبيَاء: 42]
﴿قل من يكلؤكم بالليل والنهار من الرحمن بل هم عن ذكر ربهم﴾ [الأنبيَاء: 42]
| Dr Kamal Omar Say: “Who guards you in the night and the day from (the punishment of) Ar-Rahman? Nay! They, regarding Zikr (Message) of their Nourisher-Sustainer, (behave as) those who move away and do not come closer |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Say: Who will guard you in the nighttime and the daytime from The Merciful? Nay! They, from the Remembrance of their Lord, are ones who turn aside |
| Dr Munir Munshey Say, "Who will watch over you during the night and the day, and protect you against (the wrath of) Rehman?" No! In fact, they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord |
| Edward Henry Palmer Say, 'Who shall guard you by night and by day from the Merciful?' Nay, but they from the mention of their Lord do turn aside |
| Farook Malik Ask them, "Who is there to protect you by night and by day from the wrath of the Compassionate?" Yet they turn away from the admonition of their Lord |
| George Sale Say unto the scoffers, who shall save you by night and by day from the Merciful? Yet they utterly neglect the remembrance of their Lord |
| Maududi Tell them, (O Muhammad): "Who protects you, during the night or the day from the Most Compassionate Lord?" And yet they turn away from the Admonition of their Lord |
