﴿وَمَن يَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَا بُرۡهَٰنَ لَهُۥ بِهِۦ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ ﴾
[المؤمنُون: 117]
﴿ومن يدع مع الله إلها آخر لا برهان له به فإنما حسابه﴾ [المؤمنُون: 117]
| Dr Kamal Omar And whoever invokes alongwith Allah another ilah — there is no proof for him for this (blasphemy) — then definitely what (is a fact is that) his accountability is with his Nourisher-Sustainer. Surely, it (is that) al-Kafirun do not attain success |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And whoever calls to another god with God of which he has no proof, then, truly, his reckoning is with his Lord. Truly, the ones who are ungrateful will not prosper |
| Dr Munir Munshey Anyone who calls any other god besides Allah _ and for such an act he has no explanation _ will have to reckon with Allah. Surely, such unbelievers never succeed |
| Edward Henry Palmer and whoso calls upon another god with God has no proof of it, but, verily, his account is with his Lord; verily, the misbelievers shall not prosper |
| Farook Malik Whoever invokes another god besides Allah - about whose divinity he has no proof -he will have to give an account to his Lord. Surely such unbelievers will never attain salvation |
| George Sale Whoever together with the true GOD shall invoke another god, concerning whom he hath no demonstrative proof, shall surely be brought to an account for the same before his LORD. Verily the infidels shall not prosper |
| Maududi He who invokes any other god along with Allah " one for whom he has no evidence" his reckoning is with his Lord alone. Indeed, these unbelievers shall not prosper |
