No people or nation can predate their set period of time nor - Surah Al-Mu’minun ayat 43 in Tafsir

﴿مَا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ ﴾
[المؤمنُون: 43]

No people or nation can predate their set period of time nor can they postdate it either -includes: span of prosperity, of misery, of other conditions as well as that of life

﴿ما تسبق من أمة أجلها وما يستأخرون﴾ [المؤمنُون: 43]
