﴿مَا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ ﴾
[المؤمنُون: 43]
﴿ما تسبق من أمة أجلها وما يستأخرون﴾ [المؤمنُون: 43]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay it |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad No community (of faith) gets ahead of its appointed time and they would not delay |
| Ali Quli Qarai No nation can advance its time nor can it defer it |
| Ali Unal (What happened to all those generations proves that) no community can ever hasten on the end of its term, nor can they delay it (once it has been decided by God because of their beliefs and life-styles) |
| Hamid S Aziz No nation (or people) can hasten its appointed term, nor delay it |
| John Medows Rodwell Neither too soon, nor too late, shall a people reach its appointed time |
| Literal None from a nation precedes its term/time and they do not delay/lag behind |
