﴿أَوۡ يُلۡقَىٰٓ إِلَيۡهِ كَنزٌ أَوۡ تَكُونُ لَهُۥ جَنَّةٞ يَأۡكُلُ مِنۡهَاۚ وَقَالَ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلٗا مَّسۡحُورًا ﴾
[الفُرقَان: 8]
﴿أو يلقى إليه كنـز أو تكون له جنة يأكل منها وقال الظالمون﴾ [الفُرقَان: 8]
Dr Kamal Omar Or (why not) has been dropped unto him a treasure, or becomes for him an orchard he may eat thereof?” And the transgressors said: “You follow not but an adult male — bewitched (i.e., under effect of sorcery and magic).” |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Or why is not a treasure cast down to him or why is there not a garden for him so that he may eat from it? And the ones who are unjust said: You follow nothing but a bewitched man |
Dr Munir Munshey Else, why was he not presented with a treasure? Why is it that he has no orchard to enrich him?" These unjust people remark, "You are merely following a crazy man |

Maududi Or why has not at least a treasure been sent down for him or a garden given to him for (easy) sustenance?" And the wicked people say, "You are following a man bewitched |
