﴿قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذۡتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيۡرِي لَأَجۡعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجُونِينَ ﴾
[الشعراء: 29]
﴿قال لئن اتخذت إلها غيري لأجعلنك من المسجونين﴾ [الشعراء: 29]
| Dr Kamal Omar (Firaun) said: “Surely, if you chose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly make you out of those who are put to prison.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Pharaoh said: If thou hadst taken to thyself a god other than me. I will, certainly, assign thee to be imprisoned |
| Dr Munir Munshey (The pharaoh) said, "I will have you rot in prison if you accept any god other than me |
| Edward Henry Palmer Said he, 'If thou dost take a god besides Me I will surely make thee one of the imprisoned |
| Farook Malik At this, Pharoah, who did not want to listen any more said: "If you serve any other god besides me, I shall have you thrown into prison |
| George Sale Pharaoh said unto him, verily if thou take any god besides me, I will make thee one of those who are imprisoned |
| Maududi Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison |
