﴿إِنَّمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَوۡثَٰنٗا وَتَخۡلُقُونَ إِفۡكًاۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَمۡلِكُونَ لَكُمۡ رِزۡقٗا فَٱبۡتَغُواْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرِّزۡقَ وَٱعۡبُدُوهُ وَٱشۡكُرُواْ لَهُۥٓۖ إِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُونَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 17]
﴿إنما تعبدون من دون الله أوثانا وتخلقون إفكا إن الذين تعبدون من﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 17]
| Dr Kamal Omar Certainly, what you worship besides Allah (are nothing but) idols and you invent (only) falsehood. Truly, those whom you worship besides Allah, they possess not for you (any) sustenance. So seek provision with Allah (Alone) and pay obedience to Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be brought back |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar You only worship graven images and not God? And you create calumny? Truly, those whom you worship other than God possess not for you any power to provide for you. So look for the provision from God and worship Him and give thanks to Him. To Him you will be returned |

Indeed those whom you worship beside Allah have no power to provide you with any sustenance. So seek your sustenance from Allah and serve only Him and give thanks to Him alone.
