﴿وَمَن جَٰهَدَ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَٰهِدُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 6]
﴿ومن جاهد فإنما يجاهد لنفسه إن الله لغني عن العالمين﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 6]
Dr Kamal Omar And whoever strove, then surely what (is true is that) he strives for his own self. Verily, Allah is surely Free of all wants unto the worlds |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Whoever struggled, he struggles only for himself. Then, truly, God is Sufficient for the worlds |
Dr Munir Munshey Whoever strives, does so for his own self. Of course, Allah is (Free of want and) dependent upon no one in the world for anything |
Edward Henry Palmer And he who fights strenuously, fights strenuously only for his own soul; verily, God is independent of the worlds |
Farook Malik He that strives, does that for his own soul; for Allah is certainly transcendent and beyond any need of the worlds |
George Sale Whoever striveth to promote the true religion, striveth for the advantage of his own soul; for God needeth not any of his creatures |
Maududi Whosoever strives (in the cause of Allah) does so to his own good. Surely Allah stands in no need of anyone in the whole Universe |
