﴿إِنَّ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ يُخَٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَهُوَ خَٰدِعُهُمۡ وَإِذَا قَامُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ قَامُواْ كُسَالَىٰ يُرَآءُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ وَلَا يَذۡكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 142]
﴿إن المنافقين يخادعون الله وهو خادعهم وإذا قاموا إلى الصلاة قاموا كسالى﴾ [النِّسَاء: 142]
| Dr Kamal Omar Verily, the hypocrites (think) they deceive Allah; rather, He lets them remain deceived. And when they stood up for Salat, they stood up in laziness; they (make a) show to the people; and they do not glorify Allah but very little — |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Truly, the ones who are hypocrites seek to trick God. And He is The One Who Deceives them, and when they stood up for formal prayer, they stood up lazily to make display to humanity. And they remember not God but a little |
