﴿وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ٱدۡعُواْ رَبَّكُمۡ يُخَفِّفۡ عَنَّا يَوۡمٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ﴾
[غَافِر: 49]
﴿وقال الذين في النار لخزنة جهنم ادعوا ربكم يخفف عنا يوما من﴾ [غَافِر: 49]
| Dr Kamal Omar And said those (who were staying) in the Fire to the keepers of Hell: “Call upon your Nourisher-Sustainer, (so that) He may lighten from us, out of the punishment (at least) for a day.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And those in the fire would say to ones who are keepers of hell: Call to your Lord to lighten the punishment for us for a day |
| Dr Munir Munshey Those in fire will say to the keeper of hell, "On our behalf, would you (please) ask your Lord to ease our punishment for just a day |
