﴿وَمَنۡ أَضَلُّ مِمَّن يَدۡعُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَن لَّا يَسۡتَجِيبُ لَهُۥٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَهُمۡ عَن دُعَآئِهِمۡ غَٰفِلُونَ ﴾
[الأحقَاف: 5]
﴿ومن أضل ممن يدعو من دون الله من لا يستجيب له إلى﴾ [الأحقَاف: 5]
| Dr Kamal Omar And who is more astray than that who invokes besides Allah, such as will not respond him till the Day of Resurrection; and they regarding their calls (are) unaware |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And who is one who has gone more astray than one who calls to other than God, one who responds not to him until the Day of Resurrection? And they are of their supplication to them, ones who are heedless |
| Dr Munir Munshey Who could be more at fault, (and further removed from the truth), than the one worshipping others instead of Allah? Those others will never respond to their prayers, till the day of resurrection. They are, indeed, oblivious of the fact that they are being worshipped |
| Edward Henry Palmer But who is more in error than he who calls beside God on what will never answer him until the resurrection day and who are heedless of their calling |
| Farook Malik And who could be more astray than the one who invokes those deities besides Allah who cannot answer him till the Day of Resurrection - which, in fact, are not even aware that they are being invoked |
| George Sale Who is in a wider error than he who invoketh, besides God, that which cannot return him an answer, to the day of resurrection; and idols which regard not their calling on them |
| Maududi Who is farther strayed from the Right Path than he who calls upon others than Allah that cannot answer his call till the Day of Resurrection, the while they are not even conscious that callers are calling upon them |
