﴿أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُۖ قُلۡ إِنِ ٱفۡتَرَيۡتُهُۥ فَلَا تَمۡلِكُونَ لِي مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيۡـًٔاۖ هُوَ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِۚ كَفَىٰ بِهِۦ شَهِيدَۢا بَيۡنِي وَبَيۡنَكُمۡۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ﴾
[الأحقَاف: 8]
﴿أم يقولون افتراه قل إن افتريته فلا تملكون لي من الله شيئا﴾ [الأحقَاف: 8]
| Dr Kamal Omar Do they say he has forged it? Say: “If I have fabricated (or forged) it, then you have no power for (supporting) me against Allah — in any way. He knows more about that wherein you involve (yourselves). For Him (to act) as a Witness is quite sufficient. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, the continuously Merciful.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Or they say: He devised it. Say: If I devised it, you still possess nothing for me against God. He is greater in knowledge of what you press on about. He sufficed as a Witness between me and between you. And He is The Forgiving, The Compassionate |
