﴿إِنِّيٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثۡمِي وَإِثۡمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلنَّارِۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَٰٓؤُاْ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 29]
﴿إني أريد أن تبوء بإثمي وإثمك فتكون من أصحاب النار وذلك جزاء﴾ [المَائدة: 29]
Dr Kamal Omar Verily, I shall agree that you involve (yourself) in my sin as well as your sin, then you become out of the dwellers of the Fire, and this is the recompense for the Zalimun.” |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Truly, I want that thou wilt draw the burden of my sin and thy sin, then, to be among the Companions of the Fire. That is the recompense of the ones who are unjust |
Dr Munir Munshey I prefer to have you assume all my sins along with your own. Then you will become the inmate of the hell! And that is the just retribution for the aggressors |
Edward Henry Palmer verily, I wish that thou mayest draw upon thee my sin and thy sin, and be of the fellows of the Fire, for that is the reward of the unjust |

Maududi I would desire that you be laden with my sin and with your sin, and thus become among the inmates of the Fire. That indeed is the right recompense of the wrong-doers.´ |
