[المَائدة: 93]
﴿ليس على الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات جناح فيما طعموا إذا ما اتقوا﴾ [المَائدة: 93]
Dr Kamal Omar There is none on those people who have Believed and did righteous good deeds (out of) a sin or blame in what they consumed while what they guarded against and they Believed and they acted in righteousness, (and) afterwards (as a step further) they guarded against (evil deeds) and Believed (still deeper, and) afterwards guarded (their own souls strictly) and they did good even to perfection. And Allah likes Al-Muhsinun |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar There is not for those who believed and did as the ones in accord with morality blame for what they tasted when they were Godfearing and believed and did as the ones in accord with morality and, again, they were Godfearing and believed. And, again, they were Godfearing and did good. And God loves the ones who are doers of good |
Dr Munir Munshey The believers who acted righteously bear no sin for anything they ate (in the past), so long as they are dutiful (now), stay steadfast in belief and do the right thing. Therefore, be mindful of your duties and believe. Again, fear Allah and be righteous |
Edward Henry Palmer There is no crime in those who believe and do right, for having tasted food, when they fear God, and believe, and do what is right, and then fear Him, and believe, and then fear, and do good, for God loves those who do good |
Farook Malik There is no blame on those who believe and do good deeds for what they ate in the past, provided they abstain from those things which have been made unlawful, then remain steadfast in their belief and do righteous deeds, then abstain themselves from whatever they are forbidden and believe in Divine Law, and then fear Allah and do good deeds. For Allah loves those who do good deeds |
George Sale On those who believe and do good works there shall be no sin for what they eat, provided they fear God and believe and do good works, and again fear God and believe, yet again fear God and do good. And God loves those who do good |
Maududi There will be no blame on those who believe and do righteous deeds for whatever they might have partaken (in the past) as long as they refrain from things prohibited, and persist in their belief and do righteous deeds, and continue to refrain from whatever is forbidden and submit to divine commandments, and persevere in doing good, fearing Allah. Allah loves those who do good |
