﴿فَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ ﴾
[الذَّاريَات: 44]
﴿فعتوا عن أمر ربهم فأخذتهم الصاعقة وهم ينظرون﴾ [الذَّاريَات: 44]
| Dr Kamal Omar Then they insolently defied the command of their Nourisher-Sustainer, so the Sa’iqa (thunder-bolt) overtook them while they were loohead of state on |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Yet they defied the command of their Lord so the thunderbolt took them while they look on |
| Dr Munir Munshey They displayed contempt for the command of their Lord. So a bolt of lightning struck them, while they looked on (helplessly) |
