﴿فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذَنُوبٗا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصۡحَٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونِ ﴾
[الذَّاريَات: 59]
﴿فإن للذين ظلموا ذنوبا مثل ذنوب أصحابهم فلا يستعجلون﴾ [الذَّاريَات: 59]
| Dr Kamal Omar So verily, for those who have transgressed (are the accumulated) sins (with all their resultant effects) similar to the sins of their colleagues (in crimes). So let them not ask Me to hasten on (the resultant punishment) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And, truly, the impiety of those who did wrong is like the impiety of their companions. So let them not seek to hasten the Judgment |
| Dr Munir Munshey Indeed! The evildoers of the present day shall have the same fate as those of their companions (in hellfire), the evil doers of the past. So, let them not ask Me to hasten (the Day of Judgment) |
| Edward Henry Palmer Verily, for those who injure (the Apostle) shall be a portion like the portion of their fellows, but let them not hurry Me |
| Farook Malik Surely those who are wrongdoers, shall have their portion of torment similar to the portion of their predecessors; so let them not challenge Me to hurry it on |
| George Sale Unto those who shall injure our apostle shall be given a portion like unto the portion of those who behaved like them in times past; and they shall not wish the same to be hastened |
| Maududi The wrong-doers shall receive a portion of the chastisements as their fellows (of yore). So let them not rush Me |
