﴿ٱصۡلَوۡهَا فَٱصۡبِرُوٓاْ أَوۡ لَا تَصۡبِرُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ إِنَّمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[الطُّور: 16]
﴿اصلوها فاصبروا أو لا تصبروا سواء عليكم إنما تجزون ما كنتم تعملون﴾ [الطُّور: 16]
| Dr Kamal Omar Slide you therein. Then (whether) you show patience or you do not show patience — (it is the) same to you. Surely what (is a fact is that) you will be rewarded what you had been doing |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Roast you in it! Then, have patience, or you endure patiently not, it is all the same to you. You will be only given recompense for what you had been doing |
| Dr Munir Munshey Burn in it! Bear it patiently, or be impatient. It is all the same for you, now! You are only being treated (strictly) in accordance with your deeds |

| Maududi Go now and burn in it. It is all the same whether you bear it patiently or do not bear it with patience. You are only being recompensed for your deeds |
