﴿لَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمٗا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ ﴾
[الوَاقِعة: 65]
﴿لو نشاء لجعلناه حطاما فظلتم تفكهون﴾ [الوَاقِعة: 65]
| Dr Kamal Omar If We desire, surely We made it a decomposed piece; then you were — you regret and lament (thus) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar If We will, We would make it into chaff and you would continue to joke saying |
| Dr Munir Munshey If We wish, We can convert the crop into chaff and leave you whining |
| Edward Henry Palmer If we pleased we could make it mere grit, so that ye would pause to marvel |
| Farook Malik If it be Our Will, We could crumble your harvest into chaff, and you would then be left in lamenting |
| George Sale If We pleased, verily We could render the same dry and fruitless, so that ye would not cease to wonder, saying |
| Maududi If We so wished, We could have reduced your harvest to rubble, and you would have been left wonder-struck to exclaim |
