﴿إِنَّ ٱلۡمُصَّدِّقِينَ وَٱلۡمُصَّدِّقَٰتِ وَأَقۡرَضُواْ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنٗا يُضَٰعَفُ لَهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرٞ كَرِيمٞ ﴾
[الحدِيد: 18]
﴿إن المصدقين والمصدقات وأقرضوا الله قرضا حسنا يضاعف لهم ولهم أجر كريم﴾ [الحدِيد: 18]
| Dr Kamal Omar Verily, those males who give donations, and females who give donations; and they loaned to Allah a loan not compulsory to be paid back — it shall be increased for them; and for them is a generous reward |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Truly, the males, ones who are charitable and the females, ones who are charitable and who lent a fairer loan to God, it will be multiplied for them and for them there is a generous compensation |
| Dr Munir Munshey Indeed, there is a generous reward for the men and women who give charity, and advance a virtuous loan to Allah. He will increase it manifolds (and give them due credit) |
| Edward Henry Palmer Verily, those who give in charity, men and women, who have lent to God a goodly loan,- it shall be doubled for them, and for them is a generous hire |
| Farook Malik Surely the charitable men and the charitable women, and those who give a goodly loan to Allah, shall be repaid manyfold, and also be given a liberal reward besides it |
| George Sale Verily as to the almsgivers, both men and women, and those who lend unto God an acceptable loan, He will double the same unto them; and they shall moreover receive an honourable reward |
| Maududi Verily those who give alms ? be they men or women, ? and give Allah a beautiful loan shall be repaid after increasing it many times; and theirs shall be a generous reward |
