﴿وَلَوۡ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مَآ أَشۡرَكُواْۗ وَمَا جَعَلۡنَٰكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَفِيظٗاۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيۡهِم بِوَكِيلٖ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 107]
﴿ولو شاء الله ما أشركوا وما جعلناك عليهم حفيظا وما أنت عليهم﴾ [الأنعَام: 107]
| Dr Kamal Omar And if Allah had willed they would not have indulged in shirk. And We have not made you a watcher over them; and you are not over them as a wakil (disposer of affairs, guardian or advocate) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And if God willed, they would not have ascribed partners with Him, We made thee not a guardian over them, nor art thou a trustee for them |
| Dr Munir Munshey Had Allah so willed, they would not have committed ´shirk´ _ (i.e. ascribed partners to Allah). We have not appointed you their keeper. Nor are you responsible for their actions |
| Edward Henry Palmer But had God pleased, they would not have associated aught with Him; but we have not made thee a keeper over them, nor art thou for them a warder |
