﴿وَيَوۡمَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡ جَمِيعٗا يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ قَدِ ٱسۡتَكۡثَرۡتُم مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِۖ وَقَالَ أَوۡلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِ رَبَّنَا ٱسۡتَمۡتَعَ بَعۡضُنَا بِبَعۡضٖ وَبَلَغۡنَآ أَجَلَنَا ٱلَّذِيٓ أَجَّلۡتَ لَنَاۚ قَالَ ٱلنَّارُ مَثۡوَىٰكُمۡ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 128]
﴿ويوم يحشرهم جميعا يامعشر الجن قد استكثرتم من الإنس وقال أولياؤهم من﴾ [الأنعَام: 128]
| Dr Kamal Omar And the Day He gathers them all together (saying): “O you assembly of jinns! Surely you exceeded (in gaining victims) from mankind.” And their ‘auliya’ from mankind said: “Our Nourisher-Sustainer! Some of us benefited from some (others) and we reached our appointed term which You did appoint for us.” (Allah) said: “The Fire (be) your dwelling place. (You would be) dwellers therein except what Allah willed. Certainly your Nourisher-Sustainer is All-Wise, All-Aware.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And mention on a Day He will assemble them altogether. O assembly of the jinn! Surely, you acquired much from humankind. And their protectors among humankind would say: Our Lord! Some of us enjoyed some others and we reached our term that was appointed by Thee for us. He would say: The fire is your place of lodging, ones who will dwell in it forever, but what God willed. Truly, thy Lord is Wise, Knowing |
| Dr Munir Munshey On the day He gathers them all together (He will say), "Oh you, the species of jinn! A great many humans have you lured and led astray! Their allies among the human kind (would exclaim), "Our Lord, we did enjoy (and benefit from) each other´s alliance, and now we have completed the term you had appointed for us." Allah will say, "The hellfire is your home. You will live there forever, unless Allah wills otherwise. Indeed, your Lord is the Wisest and the most Aware |

And their clients from among mankind shall say, 'O our Lord! much advantage had we one from another;' but we reached our appointed time which thou hadst appointed for us. Says He, 'The fire is your resort, to dwell therein for aye! save what God pleases; verily, thy Lord is wise and knowing |
| Farook Malik On the Day when He will assemble them all together, (Allah will address the Jinns): "O assembly of Jinns! You seduced mankind in great number." And their votaries from among mankind will say: "Our Lord, we have both enjoyed each other's fellowship but alas! Now we have reached the end of our term which You had decreed for us." Then Allah will say: "Now hellfire is your dwelling-place; you will live therein forever unless Allah ordains otherwise." Surely your Lord is Wise, Knowledgeable |
| George Sale Think on the day whereon God shall gather them all together, and shall say, O company of genii, ye have been much concerned with mankind; and their friends from among mankind shall say, O Lord, the one of us hath received advantage from the other, and we are arrived at our limited term which Thou hast appointed us. God will say, hell fire shall be your habitation, therein shall ye remain for ever; unless as God shall please to mitigate your pains, for thy Lord is wise and knowing |
| Maududi And on the Day when He shall muster them all together, He will say (to the jinn): ´O assembly of the jinn, you have seduced a good many of mankind.´ And their companions from among the humans will say: ´Our Lord! We did indeed benefit from one another and now have reached the term which You had set for us.´ Thereupon Allah will say: ´The Fire is now your abode, and therein you shall abide.´ Only those whom Allah wills shall escape the Fire. Surely your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing |
