Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah Al-An‘am ayat 28 - الأنعَام - Page - Juz 7
﴿بَلۡ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُخۡفُونَ مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَلَوۡ رُدُّواْ لَعَادُواْ لِمَا نُهُواْ عَنۡهُ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 28]
﴿بل بدا لهم ما كانوا يخفون من قبل ولو ردوا لعادوا لما﴾ [الأنعَام: 28]
| Dr Kamal Omar Nay! (Now) has become manifest to them what they had been hiding since before. And if they were sent back (to the earth) they definitely reverted to what they were prohibited thereto and indeed they are surely liars |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Nay! Shown to themselves will be what they had been concealing before. And even if they were returned, they would revert to what they were prohibited from there and, truly, they are the ones who lie |
| Dr Munir Munshey Actually, the reality which was previously kept hidden from their vision, has now become apparent to them. If they are sent back they would revert back. They would commit exactly the same acts they had been forbidden. They are really the liars |

| George Sale Nay, that which they used to hide before has now become clear to them. And if they were sent back, they would surely return to that which they are forbidden. And they are certainly liars |
| Maududi No! They will say this merely because the Truth which they had concealed will become obvious to them; or else if they were sent back, they would still revert to what was forbidden to them. (So this plea of theirs would be a lie too) for they are just liars |
