﴿قَدۡ خَسِرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَآءِ ٱللَّهِۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغۡتَةٗ قَالُواْ يَٰحَسۡرَتَنَا عَلَىٰ مَا فَرَّطۡنَا فِيهَا وَهُمۡ يَحۡمِلُونَ أَوۡزَارَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِمۡۚ أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 31]
﴿قد خسر الذين كذبوا بلقاء الله حتى إذا جاءتهم الساعة بغتة قالوا﴾ [الأنعَام: 31]
| Dr Kamal Omar Definitely, have lost those who denied (their) meeting with Allah till a point when the Hour engulfed them out of a sudden. They said: “O, alas for us over that we gave no thought to it.” And they will bear their burdens on their backs. Be careful, evil it is they will bear |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Surely, those lost who denied the meeting with God until when the Hour drew near them suddenly, they would say: What a regret for us that we neglected in it! And they will carry heavy loads on their backs. How evil is what they bear |
| Dr Munir Munshey The real losers, indeed are those who denied the meeting with their Lord! Once the hour (of Judgment) creeps up on them suddenly, they would say, "Alas! How negligent had we been!" And they would carry their burden of sins on their backs. Beware! Grave is the burden they carry |
