﴿قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ إِنۡ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ سَمۡعَكُمۡ وَأَبۡصَٰرَكُمۡ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُم مَّنۡ إِلَٰهٌ غَيۡرُ ٱللَّهِ يَأۡتِيكُم بِهِۗ ٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ نُصَرِّفُ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ ثُمَّ هُمۡ يَصۡدِفُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 46]
﴿قل أرأيتم إن أخذ الله سمعكم وأبصاركم وختم على قلوبكم من إله﴾ [الأنعَام: 46]
| Dr Kamal Omar Say: “Have you pondered, if Allah took away your hearing and your sights and He put up a seal (of closure) over your hearts, who is there — an ilah (a god) other than Allah who may come to you with it (as a replacement or recovery to your ailment)?” See how We scatter the Ayaat (on various subjects in Al-Kitab), yet they turn aside (from them) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Say: Considered you that if God took your having the ability to hear and your sight and sealed over your hearts, what god other than God restores them to you? Look on how We diversify the signs! Again, they still drew aside |
| Dr Munir Munshey Say, "Have you (ever) considered? What if Allah took away your hearing and your sight, and sealed off your heart? Is there a god besides Allah, who could give you back these senses?" Observe, how We explain the revelations in detail. Yet, they turn away (disdainfully) |
| Edward Henry Palmer Say, 'Look you now! if God should catch your hearing and your sight, and should set a seal upon your hearts - who is god but God to bring you it again |
| Farook Malik Ask them: "Just think, if Allah takes away your hearing and your sight and seals up your hearts, is there any deity other than Allah who could restore them to you?" See how We present Our revelations over and over again and yet they turn away |

| Maududi Say (O Muhammad!): What do you think? If Allah should take away your hearing and your sight and seal your hearts - who is the god, other than Allah, who could restore them to you? Behold, how We put forth Our signs in diverse forms, and yet they turn away from them |
