﴿وَلَا تَطۡرُدِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدۡعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَدَوٰةِ وَٱلۡعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجۡهَهُۥۖ مَا عَلَيۡكَ مِنۡ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَيۡءٖ وَمَا مِنۡ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيۡهِم مِّن شَيۡءٖ فَتَطۡرُدَهُمۡ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 52]
﴿ولا تطرد الذين يدعون ربهم بالغداة والعشي يريدون وجهه ما عليك من﴾ [الأنعَام: 52]
Dr Kamal Omar And do not turn away those who invoke their Nourisher-Sustainer by the morning and the evening seehead of state His Face (i.e., His Attention in mercy). (There is) not over you (the responsibility) for their accountability for anything; and (there is) not (any responsibility) for your accountability, over them, for anything. So (if) you turn them away then you become out of the Zalimun |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And drive not away those who call to their Lord in the morning and the evening, wanting His Countenance. Their reckoning is not on thee at all. And thy reckoning is not on them at all. If thou wast to drive them away, then, thou wouldst be among the ones who are unjust |
Dr Munir Munshey Do not drive away those who invoke their Lord every morning and afternoon and seek His pleasure. You bear no responsibility for anything on their account. Nor shall they be held accountable for anything on your behalf. You would be the unjust, if you drive them away |
Edward Henry Palmer Repulse not those who call upon their Lord in the morning and in the evening, desiring His face; they have no reckoning against thee at all, and thou hast no reckoning against them at all;- repulse them and thou wilt be of the unjust |
Farook Malik Do not drive away those (poor people like Bilal, Ammar and Suhaib) who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking only to gain His favor. You are in no way accountable for their deeds nor they are in any way accountable for yours. So if you drive them away, you shall be counted among the wrongdoers |
George Sale And drive not away those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His pleasure. Thou art not at all accountable for them nor are they accountable for thee. So if thou shouldst drive them away thou wilt be of the unjust |
Maududi And do not drive away those who invoke their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His pleasure all the time. You are by no means accountable for them just as they are by no means accountable for you. If you still drive them away, you will become among the wrong-doers |
