﴿وَقَالُواْ لَوۡلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ مَلَكٞۖ وَلَوۡ أَنزَلۡنَا مَلَكٗا لَّقُضِيَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 8]
﴿وقالوا لولا أنـزل عليه ملك ولو أنـزلنا ملكا لقضي الأمر ثم لا﴾ [الأنعَام: 8]
| Dr Kamal Omar And they said: “Why not has been sent down to him an angel?” And if We had sent down an angel, indeed (then) the matter would have been settled — in such a case they would not be given (any) respite |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And they said: Why was an angel not caused to descend to him? And, certainly, if We caused to descend an angel, the command would be decided. Again, no respite would be given to them |
