﴿فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ وَٱسۡمَعُواْ وَأَطِيعُواْ وَأَنفِقُواْ خَيۡرٗا لِّأَنفُسِكُمۡۗ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفۡسِهِۦ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ ﴾
[التغَابُن: 16]
﴿فاتقوا الله ما استطعتم واسمعوا وأطيعوا وأنفقوا خيرا لأنفسكم ومن يوق شح﴾ [التغَابُن: 16]
Dr Kamal Omar So pay obedience to Allah as you could, and listen (to the Ordainments in Al-Kitab), and obey and spend (in accordance with the teachings in Allah’s Scripture); (that is) better for your ownselves. And whosoever is saved from the covetousness of his own Nafs, then those people: they (very ones are) those who have achieved success |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar So be Godfearing of God as much as you were able and hear and obey and spend. That is good for yourselves, and whoever is protected from his own stinginess, then, those, they are the ones who prosper |

Maududi So hold Allah in awe as much as you can, and listen and obey, and be charitable. This is for your own good. And whoever remains safe from his own greediness, it is such that will prosper |
