﴿وَلَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَآ ءَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِٱلسِّنِينَ وَنَقۡصٖ مِّنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَذَّكَّرُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 130]
﴿ولقد أخذنا آل فرعون بالسنين ونقص من الثمرات لعلهم يذكرون﴾ [الأعرَاف: 130]
| Dr Kamal Omar And indeed, We involved the followers of Fir’aun with years (of drought) and decreased flow of fruits so that they might be reminded (towards the Book of Allah) and they might remind others (to it) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And, certainly, We took the people of Pharaoh with years of diminution of fruits, so that perhaps they will recollect |
| Dr Munir Munshey And We had certainly punished the pharaoh´s people with drought, and the dearth of food and fruit. Perhaps they would heed |
| Edward Henry Palmer We had overtaken Pharaoh's people with the years (of dearth) and scarcity of fruits, that haply they might remember |
| Farook Malik We afflicted Pharoah’s people with several years of famine and shortages of fruit so that they might come to their senses |
