﴿وَإِذۡ أَنجَيۡنَٰكُم مِّنۡ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُومُونَكُمۡ سُوٓءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ يُقَتِّلُونَ أَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمۡۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيمٞ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 141]
﴿وإذ أنجيناكم من آل فرعون يسومونكم سوء العذاب يقتلون أبناءكم ويستحيون نساءكم﴾ [الأعرَاف: 141]
| Dr Kamal Omar And (bring to mind) when We rescued you from the followers of Fir’aun; they (used to) give you torture in punishment — they are killing your sons and letting your women survive, and in this (is) an extreme test from your Nourisher-Sustainer |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Mention when We rescued you from the people of Pharaoh who cause an affliction to befall you of a dire punishment. They slay your children and save alive your women. And in that was a trial for you from your Lord, tremendous |
