﴿هَلۡ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا تَأۡوِيلَهُۥۚ يَوۡمَ يَأۡتِي تَأۡوِيلُهُۥ يَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ نَسُوهُ مِن قَبۡلُ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَهَل لَّنَا مِن شُفَعَآءَ فَيَشۡفَعُواْ لَنَآ أَوۡ نُرَدُّ فَنَعۡمَلَ غَيۡرَ ٱلَّذِي كُنَّا نَعۡمَلُۚ قَدۡ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفۡتَرُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 53]
﴿هل ينظرون إلا تأويله يوم يأتي تأويله يقول الذين نسوه من قبل﴾ [الأعرَاف: 53]
| Dr Kamal Omar Do they await only its (i.e., the Holy Book’s) final outcome? The Day, comes its final outcome (i.e., the Events of Resurrection and Accountability), those who forgot it since before will say: “Indeed, the Messengers of our Nourisher-Sustainer did come with Al-Haqq, so is there for us any out of the intercessors so they might intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back (to further pass the life in the world) so that we might act (quite) differently to that which we used to do?” Verily, they lost against their selves and has gone away from them what they had been fabricating (in the name of Allah or Religion) |

The Day its interpretation approaches, those who forgot it before will say: Surely, Messengers of our Lord drew near us with The Truth. Have we any intercessors who will intercede for us? Or will we be returned so we do other than what we had been doing before? Surely, they lost themselves. Went astray from them what they had been devising |

On the day the events unfold, those who had ignored it earlier would acknowledge it saying, "The messengers of our Lord had brought us the truth. Now, do we have anyone to intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back to our former existence, so we may earn deeds different from what we had?" They incurred a heavy loss on themselves and the lies they had invented, did not help |

When the Day of Fulfillment will come, those who have disregarded it, will say: "Indeed the Messengers of our Lord had come with the truth. Are there any intercessors now, who could intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back so that we would not do as we have done before." In fact they would have lost their souls and the things they had invented will leave them in the lurch |

On the day whereon the interpretation thereof shall come, they who had forgotten the same before, shall say, now are we convinced by demonstration that the messengers of our Lord came unto us with truth: Shall we therefore have any intercessors, who will intercede for us? Or shall we be sent back into the world, that we may do other works than what we did in our life-time? But now have they lost their souls; and that which they impiously imagined, hath fled from them |

On the Day that warning is fulfilled, those that have neglected it before will say: ´The Messengers of Our Lord did indeed bring forth the truth. Are there any intercessors who will now plead on our behalf? Or, can we be restored to life that we might perform differently from that which we did? ´ They surely ended in utter loss, and the lies they had fabricated failed them |
