﴿قُلِ ٱدۡعُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمۡتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ فَلَا يَمۡلِكُونَ كَشۡفَ ٱلضُّرِّ عَنكُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡوِيلًا ﴾
[الإسرَاء: 56]
﴿قل ادعوا الذين زعمتم من دونه فلا يملكون كشف الضر عنكم ولا﴾ [الإسرَاء: 56]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Say: Call on those whom you assert besides Him, so they shall not control the removal of distress from you nor (its) transference |
| Mohammad Shafi Say, "Call on whom you want to, besides Him! They cannot remove the distress from you nor can they change it |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Say: Cry unto those (saints and angels) whom ye assume (to be gods) beside Him, yet they have no power to rid you of misfortune nor to change |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani Say, “Call those whom you assume (to be gods), besides Him, while they have no power to remove distress from you, nor to change it.” |
| Muhammad Asad SAY: "Call upon those [beings] whom you imagine [to be endowed with divine powers] beside Him and [you will find that] they have it not in their power to remove any affliction from you, or to shift it [elsewhere] |

| Muhammad Sarwar (Muhammad), tell them, "Seek help from those whom you consider equal to God. They are not able to remove or change your hardships |
