﴿قُلِ ٱدۡعُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمۡتُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ فَلَا يَمۡلِكُونَ كَشۡفَ ٱلضُّرِّ عَنكُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡوِيلًا ﴾
[الإسرَاء: 56]
﴿قل ادعوا الذين زعمتم من دونه فلا يملكون كشف الضر عنكم ولا﴾ [الإسرَاء: 56]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Say, “Call on others besides Him if you desire. They have neither the power to remove your troubles from you nor to change them.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad Say: call on those whom you claimed other than Him, they do not have any power to get rid of the trouble from you or change it |
| Ali Quli Qarai Say, ‘Invoke those whom you claim [to be gods] besides Him. They have no power to remove your distress, nor to bring about any change [in your state] |
| Ali Unal Say: "Call upon those (the angels, human beings, jinn,) whom you pretend are deities apart from Him! They have no power to remove any affliction from you nor can they make any changes in your conditions |
| Hamid S Aziz Say, "Call on those other than Allah whom you assume to be gods." But they have no power to remove distress from you, nor to change it |
| John Medows Rodwell SAY: Call ye upon those whom ye fancy to be gods beside Him; yet they will have no power to relieve you from trouble, or to shift it elsewhere |
