﴿قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لَآ أَمۡلِكُ إِلَّا نَفۡسِي وَأَخِيۖ فَٱفۡرُقۡ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 25]
﴿قال رب إني لا أملك إلا نفسي وأخي فافرق بيننا وبين القوم﴾ [المَائدة: 25]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir He said: My Lord! Surely I have no control (upon any) but my own self and my brother; therefore make a separation between us and the nation of transgressors |
| Mohammad Shafi He [Moses] said, "My Lord! I have indeed no control but on my own self and on my brother. Make a distinction, then, between us and the transgressing people |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall He said: My Lord! I have control of none but myself and my brother, so distinguish between us and the wrong-doing folk |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani He said, “O my Lord, I have no control except over myself and my brother. So, make a distinction between us and the sinning people.” |
