﴿أَمۡ يُرِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗاۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡمَكِيدُونَ ﴾
[الطُّور: 42]
﴿أم يريدون كيدا فالذين كفروا هم المكيدون﴾ [الطُّور: 42]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Or do they desire a war? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war |
| Mohammad Shafi Or, do they want to hatch a plot? But then those who suppress the truth — they themselves are the victims of a plot |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani Or do they intend to plan to do harm (to the prophet)? Then the disbelievers themselves shall be harmed by the plan |
| Muhammad Asad Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped |
