﴿قَالَ أَوۡسَطُهُمۡ أَلَمۡ أَقُل لَّكُمۡ لَوۡلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ ﴾
[القَلَم: 28]
﴿قال أوسطهم ألم أقل لكم لولا تسبحون﴾ [القَلَم: 28]
Mohammad Habib Shakir The best of them said: Did I not say to you, Why do you not glorify (Allah) |
Mohammad Shafi A moderate among them said, "Had I not asked you to invoke divine mercy and blessings |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall The best among them said: Said I not unto you: Why glorify ye not (Allah) |
Mufti Taqi Usmani Said he who was the best among them, “Did I not say to you, ‘Why do you not pronounce tasbīH (Allah’s purity)?” |
