Quran with British translation - Surah Al-Qalam ayat 43 - القَلَم - Page - Juz 29
﴿خَٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةٞۖ وَقَدۡ كَانُواْ يُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمۡ سَٰلِمُونَ ﴾
[القَلَم: 43]
﴿خاشعة أبصارهم ترهقهم ذلة وقد كانوا يدعون إلى السجود وهم سالمون﴾ [القَلَم: 43]
Mohammad Habib Shakir Their looks cast down, abasement shall overtake them; and they were called upon to make obeisance indeed while yet they were safe |
Mohammad Shafi Their glances will be downcast and ignominy shall cover them; they were called upon to prostrate [in this world], when they were safe and sound, [but they did not obey] |
Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall With eyes downcast, abasement stupefying them. And they had been summoned to prostrate themselves while they were yet unhurt |
