Quran with British translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 16 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 8
﴿قَالَ فَبِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأَقۡعُدَنَّ لَهُمۡ صِرَٰطَكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 16]
﴿قال فبما أغويتني لأقعدن لهم صراطك المستقيم﴾ [الأعرَاف: 16]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir He said: As Thou hast caused me to remain disappointed I will certainly lie in wait for them in Thy straight path |
| Mohammad Shafi Iblees said, "Since You have led me astray, I will certainly lie in wait for them in Your Straight Path |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall He said: Now, because Thou hast sent me astray, verily I shall lurk in ambush for them on Thy Right Path |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani He said, “Now that You have led me astray, I will certainly sit for them (in ambush) on Your straight path |
| Muhammad Asad [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Now that Thou hast thwarted me," shall most certainly lie in ambush for them all along Thy straight way |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali Said he, "So, for that You caused me to be misguided, indeed I will definitely sit (i.e., in ambush) for them (on) Your straight Path |
| Muhammad Sarwar Then Satan said, "Because you have made me go astray, I shall certainly try to seduce people into straying from the right path |
