﴿قَالَ بَلۡ سَوَّلَتۡ لَكُمۡ أَنفُسُكُمۡ أَمۡرٗاۖ فَصَبۡرٞ جَمِيلٌۖ عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَأۡتِيَنِي بِهِمۡ جَمِيعًاۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 83]
﴿قال بل سولت لكم أنفسكم أمرا فصبر جميل عسى الله أن يأتيني﴾ [يُوسُف: 83]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al Jacob said, “No, but you have contrived a story for you. Patience is most fitting. Maybe God will bring them to me together, for He is indeed full of knowledge and wisdom.” |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad He (Jacob) said: no, but you let yourselves be seduced by a matter, so a nice patience (is necessary for me), perhaps God brings them all to me, indeed He is the knowledgeable and the wise |
Ali Quli Qarai He said, ‘No, your souls have made a matter seem decorous to you. Yet patience is graceful. Maybe Allah will bring them all [back] to me. Indeed He is the All-knowing, the All-wise.’ |
Ali Unal (When they had returned to their father and made that speech to him) he said: "No! Rather, your (evil-commanding) souls have tempted you to something. So (the proper recourse for me now is, again,) a becoming patience (a patience that endures without complaint). It may be that God will bring them back to me all together. He it is Who is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise |
Hamid S Aziz He (their father when had heard this) said, "Nay, your souls have beguiled (tempted, diverted, deceived) you to something (that serves you). But patience is fitter for me. It may be that Allah will bring them all to me. Verily, He is Knower, Wise.&qu |
John Medows Rodwell He said, "Nay, ye have arranged all this among yourselves: But patience is seemly: God, may be, will bring them back to me together; for he is the Knowing, the Wise |
Literal He (their father) said: "But your selves enticed/tolerated for you an order/command/matter/affair, so graceful patience, perhaps God that (He) brings them to me all together, that He (is) the knowledgeable, the wise/judicious |
Mir Anees Original He (Yaqub) said, “No ! your souls have induced this affair for you so patience is good. May be Allah will bring them all together to me, He is certainly the Knowing, the Wise.” |
