﴿قَالُواْ تَٱللَّهِ لَقَدۡ ءَاثَرَكَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡنَا وَإِن كُنَّا لَخَٰطِـِٔينَ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 91]
﴿قالوا تالله لقد آثرك الله علينا وإن كنا لخاطئين﴾ [يُوسُف: 91]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al They said, “By God, God has indeed preferred you above us, and we certainly have been guilty of wrong.” |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They said: by God, certainly God has preferred you over us and we were sinners |
| Ali Quli Qarai They said, ‘By Allah, Allah has certainly preferred you over us, and we have indeed been erring.’ |
| Ali Unal By God," they responded, "God has indeed preferred you above us, and certainly we were sinful |
| Hamid S Aziz They said, "By Allah! Allah has chosen (or preferred) you over us; and we indeed were guilty |
| John Medows Rodwell They said, "By God! now hath God chosen thee above us, and we have indeed been sinners |
| Literal They said: "By God, God had preferred/chosen you over us and that truly we were sinners (E) |
| Mir Anees Original They said, “By Allah, Allah has indeed preferred you above us and indeed we were at fault.” |
| Mir Aneesuddin They said, “By God, God has indeed preferred you above us and indeed we were at fault.” |
