﴿يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأۡتِيهِ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٖۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٞ ﴾
[إبراهِيم: 17]
﴿يتجرعه ولا يكاد يسيغه ويأتيه الموت من كل مكان وما هو بميت﴾ [إبراهِيم: 17]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al In gulps will he drink it, but never will he be near swallowing it. Death will come to him from every angle, yet he will not die, and in front of him will be an unrelenting chastisement |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad He sips it and does not swallow it easily, and death comes to him from everywhere but he does not die, and beyond it is a severe punishment |
| Ali Quli Qarai gulping it down, but hardly swallowing it: death will assail him from every side, but he will not die, and there is [yet] a harsh punishment ahead of him |
| Ali Unal Sipping it little by little, yet hardly able to swallow it, and death besets him from every side though he cannot die, and a still harsher punishment lies ahead of him |
