Quran with English translation - Surah An-Naml ayat 36 - النَّمل - Page - Juz 19
﴿فَلَمَّا جَآءَ سُلَيۡمَٰنَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالٖ فَمَآ ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ ٱللَّهُ خَيۡرٞ مِّمَّآ ءَاتَىٰكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُم بِهَدِيَّتِكُمۡ تَفۡرَحُونَ ﴾
[النَّمل: 36]
﴿فلما جاء سليمان قال أتمدونن بمال فما آتاني الله خير مما آتاكم﴾ [النَّمل: 36]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al So when the messenger came Solomon said, “You give me riches? But that which God has given me is better than that which He has given you. No, it is you who rejoice in your gift |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So when he came to Solomon, he (Solomon) said: do you help me with wealth? What God gave me is better than what He gave you, yet you are happy about your gift |
| Ali Quli Qarai So when he came to Solomon, he said, ‘Are you aiding me with wealth? What Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Indeed, you are proud of your gift |
| Ali Unal When he (the envoy with the present) came to Solomon, he (Solomon) said: "Do you mean to help me with wealth? What God has granted me (of Prophethood, kingdom, and wealth) is much more and better than all that He has given you. It is only (people such as) you who would rejoice in this gift of yours |
| Hamid S Aziz And when the envoy came to Solomon, he (Solomon) said, "Do you offer me wealth, when what Allah has given me is better than what He has given to you? Nay, it is you (not I) who rejoice (exult) in your gifts |

| Literal So when (he) came (to) Soliman, he said: "Do you extend/spread me with property/wealth ? So what God gave me, (is) better than what He gave you, but you with your present, you be happy |
| Mir Anees Original So when be (the envoy) came to Sulaiman he said, "What ! will you help me with wealth? But that which Allah has given me is better than that which he has given you. No, it is you who are happy with your gift (not I) |
| Mir Aneesuddin So when be (the envoy) came to Solomon he said, "What ! will you help me with wealth? But that which God has given me is better than that which he has given you. No, it is you who are happy with your gift (not I) |
