Quran with English translation - Surah Al-Qalam ayat 48 - القَلَم - Page - Juz 29
﴿فَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلۡحُوتِ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكۡظُومٞ ﴾
[القَلَم: 48]
﴿فاصبر لحكم ربك ولا تكن كصاحب الحوت إذ نادى وهو مكظوم﴾ [القَلَم: 48]
| Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al So wait with patience for the command of your Lord, and do not be like the companion of the fish when he cried out in agony |
| Ali Bakhtiari Nejad So be patient for judgment of your Master and do not be like companion of the fish (Jonah) when he called out while he was irritated |
| Ali Quli Qarai So submit patiently to the judgement of your Lord, and do not be like the Man of the Fish who called out as he choked with grief |
| Ali Unal So wait patiently for your Lord’s judgment, and do not be like the companion of the fish, when he called out choking inwardly (with distress) |
| Hamid S Aziz So wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, and be not like the Companion of the Fish (Jonah), when he cried while he was in distress |

| Literal So be patient for your Lord`s judgment/rule, and do not be as the large fish`s/whale`s owner/friend/company when he called/cried and he is held/quietened/suppressed |
