﴿قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ ﴾
[الحِجر: 58]
﴿قالوا إنا أرسلنا إلى قوم مجرمين﴾ [الحِجر: 58]
| Abdel Haleem They replied, ‘We have been sent to a people who are guilty.’ |
| Abdul Hye They (the angels) said: “We have been sent (to punish) the people who are criminals |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali They said: "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi They said: verily we have been sent unto a people guilty |
| Ahmed Ali We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people |
| Aisha Bewley They said, ´We have been sent to a people who are evildoers — |
| A. J. Arberry They said, 'We have been sent unto a people of sinners |
| Ali Quli Qarai They said, ‘We have been sent toward a guilty people |
