﴿وَإِذۡ قَالَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَلۡ هَٰذَا ٱلۡبَلَدَ ءَامِنٗا وَٱجۡنُبۡنِي وَبَنِيَّ أَن نَّعۡبُدَ ٱلۡأَصۡنَامَ ﴾
[إبراهِيم: 35]
﴿وإذ قال إبراهيم رب اجعل هذا البلد آمنا واجنبني وبني أن نعبد﴾ [إبراهِيم: 35]
| Dr Kamal Omar And (bring to mind) when Ibrahim said: ‘My Nourisher-Sustainer! Establish this city-one of peace and tranquility, and protect me and my sons that we may worship idols |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And when Abraham said: My Lord! Make this land that which is safe and cause me and my children to turn away from worshipping idols |
| Dr Munir Munshey And Ibraheem said, "My Lord, make this town (Makkah) peaceful and secure, and steer me and my progeny away from idol-worship |
| Edward Henry Palmer And when Abraham said, 'My Lord, make this land safe, and turn me and my sons away from serving idols |
| Farook Malik Remember when Ibrahim (Abraham) said: "My Rabb! Make this city a city of peace and save me and my sons from the worship of idols |
| George Sale Remember when Abraham said, O Lord, make this land a place of security; and grant that I and my children may avoid the worship of idols |
| Maududi And call to mind when Abraham prayed: "My Lord! Make this city secure, and keep me and my sons away from worshipping the idols |
