﴿إِن تَحۡرِصۡ عَلَىٰ هُدَىٰهُمۡ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهۡدِي مَن يُضِلُّۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ ﴾
[النَّحل: 37]
﴿إن تحرص على هداهم فإن الله لا يهدي من يضل وما لهم﴾ [النَّحل: 37]
| Dr Kamal Omar If you (on your end) covet their guidance, then verily, Allah guides not whom He allows to go astray. And (there are) not for them, out of the helpers |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar If thou be eager for their guidance, then, truly, God will not guide whom He causes to go astray. And they will have no ones who help |
| Dr Munir Munshey You may desire guidance for them, but Allah does not show the way to anyone He has already led astray. They have no allies |
| Edward Henry Palmer If thou art ever so eager for their guidance, verily, God guides not those who go astray, nor have they any helpers |
| Farook Malik No matter how eager you may be for their guidance, you should know that Allah does not guide those whom He let go astray and such people will have no helpers |
| George Sale If thou, O prophet, dost earnestly wish for their direction; verily God will not direct him whom He hath resolved to lead into error; neither shall they have any helpers |
| Maududi (O Muhammad), howsoever eager you may be to show them the Right Way, Allah does not bestow His guidance on those whom He lets go astray; and in fact none will be able to help them |
